Memorial Day Picnic im Central Park

Hi Everyone,

Some of you may remember an old member of our group, Thiemo. He has come to visit us from Frankfurt this week. And another member of our group has some friends visiting from Germany as well. So if you're not doing anything for Memorial Day, we were planning to have an informal picnic in Central Park Monday afternoon from 2pm - 6pm. This is a totally informal event, just hang out and spreche Deutsch wenn du willst or lay out on the lawn and enjoy the nice weather.

What to bring: A picnic blanket, sunscreen, sandwich and beverage of your choice. Just to make this easier for everyone, please bring your own food and beverages. Disclaimer: Alcohol is prohibited in the Park. I would prefer if people didn't drink, but if you do, you drink at your own risk and the group is not responsible if you get arrested. :P (light-hearted laugh)

Where to find us: (write this down or print it out) We will meet at the North West side of the Sheep Meadow in Central Park which is located at 67th Street, just inside the park next to Tavern on the Green. If you walk into the park from Tavern on the Green, cross the street inside the park and you will see the fence around the Sheep Meadow. On the left side there are bathrooms and tall trees. we will be somewhere near the the tall trees and bathrooms (inside the fence). I will have a bunch of red balloons in honor of our dear German pop star Nena.

What if it rains? Unfortunately we'll have to cancel if we have "pech" as they say in German.
