Scott Phillips will be performing his cabaret show with Doug Silver on piano at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues in Manhattan on Saturday, April 18th at 3:00 p.m.

There is a $5 cover charge for admission and a 2-drink minimum order.

The New York Philharmonic has a wonderful program of works by Handel from March 26 - 28, featuring the famous German soprano Christine Schäfer. If you'd like to know more details about the concert check out the website "Handel's Royal Fireworks" linked below. On the website you can read about the pieces on the program, the guest artists, and watch videos of the conductor speaking about the music on the concert – but you should disregard the online ticketing buttons on that page.

James B, a member of our group who works at the New York Philharmonic, has organized an awesome discount for all of us.

Tickets:
For a limited time, on March 26th only, the NY Philharmonic is offering our Meetup members discounted ORCHESTRA seats for $29, a cost savings of $75! And the best part is, there is a block of seats reserved exclusively for our group, so if you are coming by yourself, we can all sit together. In order to take advantage of this offer, members should call Arlene Jacobs at (212) 875-5672 or email her at jacobsa@nyphil.org. The cut-off date will be Mon. March 23 at 4:30, since they need time to process everything. Buyers should have a credit card ready and their tickets will be at the Avery Fisher box office in the names of the people who respond. There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be purchased. Please note that they are in the office Mon through Fri 10:00 till 5:00 so members don’t panic if they are unable to contact the box office over the week-end.

Please make a special note that when calling to order tickets, you must remember to say that you are with the GERMAN Meetup group. There will be other Meetup groups at this event.

If you already have a favorite song you want to share with the group, please feel free to email me the lyrics and bring a copy of it on your IPOD so we can play it!

There are also some really fun German line dances we might be able to learn that night! So come ready to have a fun time! There is a great dinner menu and lots of German beer and please remember it is a CASH bar!
