Come celebrate Spring at the fourteenth annual Maifest, held on Saturday, April 25, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The German-Texan Heritage Society sponsors this fun day of German culture in the gardens of the German Free School in downtown Austin. Enjoy delicious German food, German beer on tap (Paulaner Pilsner, Spaten Bock, Warsteiner Dunkel), traditional music by Shirley Johnson, Joe Klaus, the Austin Saengerrunde, and German bluegrass with the Siekers. With folk dancing, marionette show, silent auction, German book sale and special activities for children.
